Summer is here, its time to sew up those shorts for the kids. I used Brindille and twig harem shorts pattern, super fast and easy to make, I made 16 pairs in a couple of hours.
What you will need
- The pattern, you can purchase on her website https://brindilletwig.com/collections/little-kids/products/harem-shorts-055. Please not I am not being sponsored to sell her pattern.
- Your fabric, 3/4 yards will do, I am making a size 18-24 months
- Elastic, if you are like me and sew a lot, I recommend purchasing the roll.
- And thats all you will need.
You may print or use the projector file ( I will be posting a blog on projector files).
Cut your fabric and place the rights sides together.
Serge along the side seams and the inseam. Leave the leg opening and waist opening.
Cut the elastic according to your size.
I overlap the two cut pieces and zig-zag across the top.
Attach the elastic around the waist using a serger, make sure your blade is disabled.
Top stitch the elastic to enclose it, I use a zig-zag stitch but you can use your overstitch machine.
hem the leg openings, press and you are done.
